Dubai – Yasmine El Tohamy – Al Ahly winger Hussein El-Shahat has been linked with a move to an Emirati side in the current transfer window.

El-Shahat had joined Al Ahly in January of 2019 coming from Emirati giants Al Ain for a club-record fee of $5m.

Since then, the 28-year-old managed to score 15 goals and provide 12 assists in 65 games for Al Ahly across all competitions.

His contributions have guided the Red Devils to a total of five trophies, including two Egyptian Premier League titles and a CAF Champions League title.

According to a report by Emirati newspaper Al-Ittihad, Arabian Gulf League outfit Al Wahda are looking to sign El-Shahat in the current transfer window.

El-Shahat has previously starred in the Emirates for former champions Al Ain, and featured in the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup.

The winger started all four games and played every minute of the competition before Al Ain suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid in the final.

Hussein El-Shahat had joined Al Ain in the January of 2018 from Misr El-Makkasa and stayed for a full year, before joining Al Ahly.

Overall with Al Ain, El-Shahat scored 15 goals while providing 17 assists in 33 games, guiding them to the league title in 2018
