Thank you for reading the news about Former Al Ahly goalkeeper: Weiler would return to Egypt under two conditions and now with the details

Dubai – Yasmine El Tohamy – Former Al Ahly goalkeeper and current presenter Ahmed Shobier has stated that Rene Weiler would return to coach in Egypt under two conditions, saying that rumors linking him with taking over Ismaily are false.

Weiler unexpectedly left Al Ahly before the end of the 2019/2020 season despite a successful stint with the Reds.

The 47-year-old managed to guide Al Ahly to two trophies last season after winning both the Egypt Super Cup and the Egyptian Premier League.

However, he decided to part ways with the Red Devils in October 2020 as he preferred to stay near his family in Switzerland.

The 47-year-old coach had been linked with clubs in Germany, France, and England since his departure from Al Ahly, with Championship club Sheffield Wednesday being the latest to be linked with him.

He has also been recently linked to struggling Egyptian side Ismaily, but former Al Ahly goalkeeper dismissed the possibility.

“All the rumors about talks between Ismaily and Weiler are completely not true. He hasn’t spoken with Ismaily,” Shobier said on ON Sport FM.

“Weiler won’t return to Egypt except to coach Al Ahly or the Egyptian national team, if his current family matters allow,” he added.
