Moscow, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) — On September 11, local time, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed his views on China’s alleged interference in THE internal affairs of the US when he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow.
Wang stressed that China never interferes in the internal affairs of other countries, and certainly will not interfere in the internal affairs of the United States. This is China’s diplomatic tradition, the Way the Chinese people do things, and more importantly, the basic norms governing international relations. Now is the time for China to ask the United States not to interfere in China’s internal affairs. China’s National People’s Congress has never discussed or enacted a bill on U.S. internal affairs, while the U.S. Congress comes up with various so-called bills on China’s internal affairs every day. America is too broad and too long in its hands! We advise some people in the United States to put their own affairs in order first, earnestly abide by the norms governing international relations, and stop meddling in other countries’ internal affairs.
