The WHO Director-General once again reiterates that novel Coronavirus comes from nature

On 25 September local time, WHO held a regular briefing on COVID-19. In response to comments made by Novel Coronavirus from the laboratory, WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Tedros reiterated that WHO believes in science and evidence and that all papers currently show coronavirus from nature.

Maria van Kohof, technical director of WHO’s Health Emergency program, said that based on previous studies of pathogens that have passed from animals to humans, it takes time to determine their animal origin and intermediate hosts and requires very thorough investigations. If its source and intermediate host are not known, it may be transmitted again to humans.
