Indian media claimed on July 7 that 5 Indian youths were missing in Tibet. Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Youth affairs and Sports and Minority Affairs, said on Twitter on Tuesday that the People’s Liberation Army had responded to a hotline message sent by the Indian army.
The People’s Liberation Army confirmed it had found the missing youths and was working out ways to hand them over to Indian authorities, Mr Rigiju said.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said that China’s position on the eastern section of the China-India border, namely south Tibet, is consistent and clear. We never recognize the so-called “human rights” illegally established on The Chinese territory.
