In just 22 days, the United States had one million more confirmed cases of COVID-19

As of August 31, local time, there were more than 6.02 million cases of COVID-19 in the United States. Since the first confirmed case was reported in the United States on Jan. 21, the epidemic has worsened and the number of confirmed cases has soared, according to Johns Hopkins University. From 5 million on August 9 to 6 million on August 31, it took the US only 22 days. To date, the United States remains the world’s worst-hit country by COVID-19.
