As Cook nears retirement age, apple’s next CEO is the subject of speculation

With Apple CEO Tim Cook and his senior vice President management team nearing retirement, the question of who will be the next CEO has taken on new importance, according to MacX.

In a new report, Bloomberg Mark Gurman speculates about potential successors to the CEO and top jobs. The current CHIEF operating officer, Jeff Williams, is seen within Apple as the CEO’s “heir apparent” and has a “pragmatic” approach similar to Cook’s. In addition, Kaiann Drance, apple’s newly appointed vice President for iPhone marketing, and Peter Stern, who oversees apple’s original programming, are all likely to take over senior jobs.
