Armenia: Clashes in Nagorny have left 16 soldiers dead and more than 100 injured

The Russian Satellite network has just reported that the Armenian Defense Ministry has released information that 16 soldiers have been killed and more than 100 injured in the conflict in Nagorno.

A new round of clashes broke out between Armenia and Azerbaijan in nagorno-Karabakh on Thursday, with both sides accusing each other of violating the ceasefire agreement and launching the first military offensive.

The nagorno-Karabakh region is located in southwestern Azerbaijan and is mostly inhabited by ethnic Armenians. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, A war broke out between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh, and Armenia occupied nagorno-Karabakh and parts of the former Azerbaijani territory. Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed on a comprehensive ceasefire in 1994, but the two countries have been locked in hostilities over Nagorno-Karabakh, and armed clashes between the two countries have been sporadic.
